IPL 2021: RCB and India’s hero on Australia tour, Mohammed Siraj gifts himself BMW Sedan

IPL 2021 – RCB Mohammed Siraj new BMW: India and Royal Challengers Bangalore lead pacer Mohammed Siraj has gifted himself a brand new BMW Sedan on account of his brilliant show in Australia. Siraj who had an impressive debut series against Australia, bought a BMW car after returning home. Siraj finished as the highest wicket-taker for India with 13 from three test matches. The young seamer who has also been retained by RCB for IPL 2021 posted a couple of videos on his Instagram story where he flaunted his new BMW sedan.
It was a tough tour for Mohammed Siraj, an emotional one too. The 27-year-old fast bowler had lost his father days after arriving in Australia from the UAE. While the BCCI had allowed him to return back to India, the pacer decided against it and trained hard for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 edition. With Mohammed Shami’s injury, Siraj got included in the line-up in the Ajinkya Rahane-led XI for the second Test at the MCG with India already 1-0 down. The pacer battled all the odds, overcame racial slurs in the third and penultimate Test at the SCG and led the pace attack for the fourth and final Test in Brisbane to return with 13 wickets.

He was constantly helped by Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out of the final Test and didn’t let the experienced speedster down with his performance in the Gabba Test. Siraj also claimed his maiden five-for in India’s epic 3-wicket win.

Two days after India’s epic 2-1 series win versus Australia in their own backyard, head coach Ravi Shastri was all praise for Siraj. Shastri labelled him as the ‘find of the tour’, and wrote, “Find of the tour for shoring up the bowling attack the way he did – Mohd Siraj. He fought through personal loss, racial remarks and channelised them to find home in the team huddle.”
