Two protesting farmers die on Delhi border

Two farmers died on the borders of Delhi in the past 24 hours. Bhola Singh, 40, from Khudal village in Mansa, died of a cardiac arrest at Tikri border on Friday night.
He was an activist of farm organisation BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) and was at Delhi border for the last some days and complained of uneasiness on Friday night. He was taken to hospital where he breathed his last. BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) Mansa president Ram Singh said his family had loans of over Rs 7 lakh and the government should provide financial assistance to the bereaved family. Rattan Singh, a resident of Kotli Dhole Shah in Amritsar, died in Delhi on Saturday.
Kisan Mazdur Sangarash Committee functionary Sarwan Singh Pandher said Rattan, 75, had diarrhoea and vomiting on Friday night and died in his trolley on Saturday morning. Pandher said the body was being sent to Rattan’s village after postmortem and his last rites would be performed in the village on Sunday.
