England managed to restrict Sri Lanka to 381 after Niroshan Dickwella fell short eight runs short of his maiden Test century on Day 2 of the second match in Galle. James Anderson took six wickets while Mark Wood claimed three. Sam Curran got the remaining wicket. Then the visitors lost both the openers early in their first innings to Lasith Embuldeniya, needing skipper Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow to do the rebuilding work.
