IBSD hold virtual curtain raiser event cum Vigyan Yatra for IISF

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal organized a virtual curtain raiser event cum Vigyan Yatra", a run-up to the 6th India International Science Festival (IISF), 2020 yesterday. The IISF 2020 will be held online from December 22 to 25.

Dr. Renu Swarup, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India inaugurated the virtual curtain raiser. This is the second event oraganised by IBSD for the curtain raiser of IISF 2020.

The key speakers for the event were
Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal,
Dr. Anamika Gambhir, Scientist-F, Department of Biotechnology,
Dr. Goutam Sutradhar, Director, NIT, Manipur,
Dr. Arun Bandyopadhyay, Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata,
Dr. Arun Kumar Sarrna, Director General, Northeast Centre for Technology Applications and Reach, Shillong and
Shri Sheeprasad M. Kuttan, Vijnana Bharati.

The 6th IISF-2020 is being organised by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) in collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA).

The virtual event was attended by over 100 students, scientists, research scholars among others.
