A 12-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition after she was hit by a car while inside an apartment building, according to the South Salt Lake Police Department.
A car drove into an apartment in the 300 block of Summer Pine Drive on Friday afternoon. Photos show that the car created a gaping hole in the wall of the apartment. The crash caused a gas leak in the apartment building.
The car’s driver also was taken to the hospital. The crash is under investigation by police. No information has been released about what caused the crash.
