New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched the health scheme ‘Ayushman CAPF’ in Guwahati for about 28 lakh personnel of Central Armed Police Forces including Assam Rifles and National Security Guards (NSG) and their families to access in all the states where Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has been operational.
Addressing the gathering, he paid tributes to Netaji Subhash Bose on the occasion of the Parakram Diwas and said “It was a great occasion coinciding with the Parakram Diwas to start Ayushman Bharat scheme for the Central Armed Police Forces”.
Remembering the sacrifice and bravery of the central para military forces in nation building, Mr Shah said that the Centre is committed for the welfare of the security forces and their family members and the government decided to launch Ayushman Bharat CAPF for them and a health card will be issued to them which would help their families members too.
Mentioning about the the reforms and new initiatives taken by the Union Home Ministry for the CAPF personnel, the Home Minister said that it has been ensured that at least the security personnel can stay with their families for 100 days annually and he also gets a better working conditions .
He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has successfully fought against the Covid 19 and India is among the best performing countries against Covid 19. He also appealed not to politicize the Covid vaccination issue.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of States for Home Affairs Nityananda Rai, Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla were also present on this occasion.
