PM condoles demise of popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief over the demise of popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal.

In a tweet in Hindi, the Prime Minister said, 'The news of the death of popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal ji is extremely sad. He made a mark in the world of devotional songs with his vibrant voice. My condolences to his family and fans in this hour of mourning.'

Chanchal died here at a private hospital on Friday, after remaining ill for nearly three months.

He was 80 and survived by two sons and a daughter.
