Silver futures drop on subdued demand

Silver futures dropped by Rs 779 to Rs 66,521 per kg on Friday as participants reduced their bets on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery tumbled Rs 779, or 1.16 per cent, to Rs 66,521 per kg in a business turnover of 11,901 lots.

Globally, silver traded 1.20 per cent lower at USD 25.55 per ounce in New York.
