On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery tumbled Rs 779, or 1.16 per cent, to Rs 66,521 per kg in a business turnover of 11,901 lots.

Globally, silver traded 1.20 per cent lower at USD 25.55 per ounce in New York.
