Rajasthan has a major contribution in making the country self-sufficient in the matter of minerals. Rajasthan is a treasure of minerals. It is our endeavor to exploit them properly and make Rajasthan the number one state in the field of mining. For this and a consultant will also be appointed to search the mineral wealth of the entire state.
This was stated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during the program of signing the Tripartite Agreement Agreement between the Government of Rajasthan, RSMML and MECL for practical study of mineral potash in Nagaur-Ganganagar Basin in Rajasthan.
In this regard, he tweeted that in the case of potash, our country is completely dependent on imports. Every year, about 5 million tonnes of potash have to be spent on foreign exchange of about Rs.10 thousand crores. We will be able to become self-sufficient in the field of this mineral by the storage of potash spread in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner region of Rajasthan.
