30th anniversary of Statehood Square observed

On Manipur Statehood day, the Statehood Square Development Committee observed the 30th anniversary of Statehood Square, Manipur today.
The observance commemorated all involved in the movement for Manipur's Statehood and dignitaries paid floral tributes at the Statehood Square complex near Mapal Kangjeibung.

Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Dr RK Ranjan Singh; chairman Statehood Square Development Committee, former Minister L Jatra Singh; ex-MLA RK Anand Singh, members of the committee, former Minister Kh Jibon Singh, A Biren Singh, Ksh Shanta Singh; president YBSC, N Apabi Singh, general secretary YBSC N Sunil Meitei, founder and MD Ingelei Paper and Print Pvt Ltd Ronald Elangbam and Suresh Laishram, teacher at Global Spoken English and Dot Com Computer attended the event as presidium members.
At the event, Dr RK Ranjan said Manipur attained full fledged Statehood on January 21, 1972 .
Manipur was a Princely State before it merged into the Union of India.
The Statehood Square Development Committee observes the anniversary of the Statehood Square every year to commemorate the movement for Manipur's Statehood, he said.
