The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to revoke the bail granted by the Allahabad High Court to SP MP Azam Khan, his wife Tanjim Fatima, and son Abdullah Azam Khan in the fake birth certificate.
With this, the apex court dismissed the petition of the Uttar Pradesh government challenging the High Court's decision to grant bail to the three. A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Justice R Subhash Reddy, and Justice MR Shah said, "According to us there is nothing wrong in the order of the High Court, there is no reason to interfere in the order of the High Court.
On October 13 last year, the High Court granted bail to all three in this case. Azam Khan and his wife are alleged to have got the certificate of son Abdullah Azam Khan from two places and both the certificates have different birth dates.
