Will Daphne & Simon Be in 'Bridgerton' Season 2? Series Creator Responds!

A second season of Bridgerton has been officially confirmed and fans want to know more about what they can expect to happen.
Series creator Chris Van Dusen has revealed that the second season will focus on Jonathan Bailey‘s character Anthony Bridgerton and his quest for love. This was also revealed in an announcement that Netflix made in the style of Lady Whistledown.
Van Dusen said on The Today Show, “We’re really going to be [focusing on] the eldest Bridgerton brother next season, Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. We left him at the end of the first season at a bit of a crossroads, so I’m looking forward to jumping in and discovering how he fares on the marriage market.”

Chris says that fans can expect “a bunch of new characters” in the next season, including Anthony’s love interest.
Will Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page be returning as Daphne and Simon, aka the Duchess and Duke?
“I hope so,” he said. “They are the Duke and Duchess now, but in my mind they will always be Bridgertons, and I think they will always be a part of the show.”
