
New Delhi , 21 Jan : The CM Sh PS Tamang (Golay) called on the the Union Minister Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah Ji today at New Delhi and submitted a memorandum on behalf of the State Government and Sikkimese people.
In the memorandum team stated the grant for tribal status to the left out communities. I highlighted the social, economic status and cultural traits of the left-out communities, which are similar to all the sections of Sikkimese society.
Further, Chief Minister indicated the provision of Article 371F. The Tripartite Agreement with the Union of India, drawn during the merger between the Chogyal, Government of India and the elected representatives.
Likewise, CM also requested the the Union Home Minister for the reservation of seats for the Limboo and Tamang communities who have been recognised as Tribal by the Union Government in 2003.
The cabinet team have thanked the Union Government for allowing His Holiness 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Head of Kagyu Sect for his earlier visit to Sikkimb, cherishing the spiritual aspiration of the people of the State. Besides the above issues, cabinet team lead by CM team also have discussed various topics and subject matters relating to Sikkim.
