    Crude oil futures decline on low demand

    Synopsis

    Crude oil for February delivery eased by Rs 46, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 3,848 per barrel with a business volume of 1,908 lots.

    Crude oil futures on Friday fell by 1.18 per cent to Rs 3,848 per barrel as participants reduced their positions on low demand.

    On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for February delivery eased by Rs 46, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 3,848 per barrel with a business volume of 1,908 lots.

    Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 1.19 per cent lower at USD 52.50 per barrel, while Brent crude was quoting 1.05 per cent down at USD 55.51 per barrel in New York.
