Jawan martyred in Pak firing along LoC in Poonch

Jammu, Jan 21 (UNI) An Army jawan attained martyrdom in ceasefire violation by the Pakistan along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Defence spokesman here said that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati Sector in Poonch district.
"Indian Army troops responded strongly to the enemy fire," he said adding that in the incident, Havaldar Nirmal Singh of 10 JAK RIF was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
Hav Nirmal Singh was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier, he added.
The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty, said the spokesman.
