Imphal, January 20 2021: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), in a statement issued yesterday, informed that the recent offensive operation at Taosang and Soubunglong (Leisok) area under Khoupum Sub-Division on January 16, 2021, wherein the dissident group in the name and style of NSCN-U and in the guise of ZUF led by Raitu Chawang and Sinthuingam Kamson @ S Kamson in connivance with Indian Military forces are vividly seen operating and creating situations.

The ZUF and GOI have been engaged in peace process following the submission of memorandum to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on November 11, 2019, and any disturbing elements to this effect would be resented and counteracted, it added.

The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) appealed to the Indian Military team to exercise utmost honesty and humanity and urged all concerned to avoid the destructive policy against the peaceful and innocent public.

Failing to heed this caution, ZUF will not be held responsible for any casualty or eventuality.
