Farmers have woken up, when will you wake up: Cong to PM
New Delhi, Jan 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Congress has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked him to wake up after the farmers rejected the government's proposal to suspend the three farm laws for one and half years.

"Modiji, the farmers of country have woken up when will you wake up? The deaths of 146 farmers will not go in vain. Farmer organisation rejecting the government's offer is the bugle of their waking up. Don't say that we didn't warn you," Congress General Secretary and national spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet.

His remarks came after the Samyukt Kisan Morcha after a full general body rejected the government's proposal to suspend the three farm laws for one and half years and made it clear that nothing beyond the repealing of these laws are accepted.

The farmers also rejected the Delhi Police request to not hold the parade on Republic Day in the national capital.

In a statement the Samyukt Kisan Morcha said, "The proposal put forth by the government yesterday, was rejected.'

"A full repeal of three central farm acts and enacting a legislation for remunerative MSP for all farmers were reiterated as the pending demands of the movement," it said.
