Glastonbury Festival Cancelled For Second Consecutive Year

(Bloomberg) -- The U.K.’s most famous music festival will not take place this year, its organizers said in a Twitter post on Thursday.

“In spite of our efforts to move heaven and earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen this year,” the statement read. “We are very confident we can deliver something really special for us all in 2022.”

The organizers postponed the festival’s 50th anniversary edition, which was meant to take place in June, to this year due to the pandemic in March last year.
