    Refined soya oil futures fall on low demand

    Synopsis

    Refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 8.2, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 1,078 per 10 kg in 39,710 lots.

    Refined soya oil contracts for March traded lower by Rs 3.7, or 0.35 per cent, at Rs 1,066.5 per 10 kg in 11,745 lots.
    Refined soya oil prices on Thursday fell by Rs 8.2 to Rs 1,078 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

    On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 8.2, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 1,078 per 10 kg in 39,710 lots.

    Refined soya oil contracts for March traded lower by Rs 3.7, or 0.35 per cent, at Rs 1,066.5 per 10 kg in 11,745 lots.

    Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices.
