Intel 11th-generation Rocket Lake-S Core i5 processor surfaces online on Geekbench, reveals scores, clock speed and more

Intel might launch another mid-range processor soon. As a new Rocket Lake-S processor has surfaced online on Geekbench.
The Geekbench listing reveals several details such as clock speed, model number, benchmark scores and more.
Based on the listing, it’s an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 11400 processor.
The new processor has a base clock frequency of 2.6GHz and can go up to 4.4GHz and is expected to feature Intel’s new Cypress Cove cores.
The processor tested on Geekbench is made by MSI and it’s a hexa-core processor with 6 cores and 12 threads.
Now, this puts this processor on par with the AMD Ryzen 5000 SoCs. But, the processor will be based on 14nm architecture.
Now, the 14nm architecture is pretty old and it also restricts the performance gain despite all the improvements and enhancements.
Another important thing to note that the processor will also be compatible with existing 400-series motherboards.
As far as benchmark scores are concerned, the processor has managed to get 1247 points in single-core 6197 points in multi-core tests,
Intel has not yet confirmed when they are planning to launch the processor in the market. However, considering recent launches and competition catching up, we can expect to happen sooner than expected.
