PREPAK appeal people not to attend Statehood Day

Imphal, January 20 2021: Proscribed group PREPAK today said that it is not reasonable to attend the 49th Statehood Day of Kangleipak that is scheduled on January 21 .

A press statement by Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang, Secretary-in-charge, Publicity & Propaganda , of the outfit in a length press statement said that the celebration of the statehood day have no other reason than telling that the erstwhile independent Kingdom is a colony of India.

The statement reminded on how Manipur has been annexed by India by signing an agreement called merger agreement in September 21, 1949 later subdue the status of the state to part C status and later Union territory.

Subjugation of the people using draconian law by enforcing AFSPA and the series of human Right violation committed to the people and other have been category stated .

The outfit appealed people not to attend the Statehood day of Manipur.
