Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said there is no system or moisture incursion in the state. Northerly cold winds are blowing over the state. It would lead to a dip in temperature while there may be a marginal rise in the temperature after January 22 due to the impact of western disturbance expected to hit in the northern parts of the country, officials added.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius, which was at the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was recorded at 10.9 degrees Celsius, a degree more than normal. The wind direction in the city was northerly while the average wind speed was 10 km per hour. The state’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius in Gwalior and Rewa.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than a normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was recorded at 15.9 degrees Celsius, five degrees more than normal.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday, the meteorological officials said the day and night temperature will be respectively at 26 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius while the average wind speed will be 14 kmph.
