25 photos and videos that take you inside cricketer Shikhar Dhawan’s spacious home in Delhi

Shikhar Dhawan has established a notable presence in the world of cricket. Last year, the cricketer, who played for Delhi Capitals, managed to create a record of 618 runs during the Indian Premier League 2020, becoming the first batsman to score consecutive centuries. He was also touted as the first batsman to surpass the 5,000-run mark in the IPL matches on the same day. Apart from his stellar performance in the series, the sportsman has also been an instrumental figure for the Indian Cricket Team’s matches in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International tournaments.

Despite his busy schedule, Dhawan spent a large part of the past year self-isolating at home with his family—wife Aesha Dhawan, son Zoravar, and his newly adopted dogs, Chloe and Valentine. During his time away from the limelight, the cricketer also gave us a generous glimpse of his life at home through lots of goofy videos. Dhawan’s living room doubles up as the family’s entertainment area 

If you follow Shikhar Dhawan on Instagram, you already know about his love for theatrics and making fun videos with his wife and son. The sportsman’s spacious living room is often the chosen spot for these at-home productions—Dhawan even played the ‘Quarantine Premier League’ here with his son, Zoravar. A pair of statement peach-orange armchairs and cream sofas topped with colourful cushions form the sitting area, complete with a set of identical dark wooden coffee tables in the middle. The space also features a printed floral grey ottoman and matching chairs. Creamy marble floors and ivory walls make the area seem airy and open, while the glass doors framed with curtains off to one side bring in lots of natural light.

Moody artworks in vertical frames and wooden side tables with vases and other knick-knacks brighten up the room further. Panels of dark wood mark the opposite side, separating the area from another casual living space with comfy off-white couches, grey armchairs and a dartboard on the wall. This expansive section also serves as an at-home workout space for Dhawan.

Not too far away from the living room is a bar with a wooden countertop that features against a cream marble wall. Low bar stools with minimalistic design accompany the console, creating a cosy lounge setting.

The sportsman's dining area also features gold accents

A glossy dark dining table with chunky metallic legs takes centre stage in Shikhar Dhawan's dining space, complete with chairs upholstered in off-white. The corner also features a dark console housing quirky show pieces, as well as a statement mirror with an elaborate gilded frame. Another favourite spot for the family's goofy antics, the dining area is an extension of the living room. The place opens up to the balcony through sliding glass doors.

The cricketer’s kitchen also comes with a small adjoining terrace. Dark wooden cabinets and beige marble countertops characterise the area where even little Zoravar has tried his hand at making chapatis, in a superhero costume no less.

Shikhar’s bedroom follows the same soothing palette as the rest of his home

The cricketer’s bed comes with an off-white tufted headboard, often topped off with colourful pillows and cushions. Opposite the bed, a TV stands out against a dark wooden panel, resting atop a low, light grey console. 

Dhawan’s bathroom diverges from the cream canvas of his bedroom, showcasing grey marble tiled walls with ‘his and hers’ sinks and a pristine white bathtub. The space adjoins a large walk-in closet where wooden floors and wardrobes with sliding glass doors create the perfect setting to play dress-up. A chest of ivory drawers stands out against the otherwise warm-toned palette of the area, adding a touch of elegance to the space.

Shikhar and Aesha Dhawan’s awards require not one, but two different spaces to be displayed

Considering Aesha Dhawan’s career in kickboxing and Shikhar Dhawan’s expertise in cricket, the duo has collected quite an impressive display of trophies and awards over the years. Step inside what seems to be Aesha's home office, and you'll find a floating wooden shelves brimming with awards. Framed photographs arranged on a console, a television, and a desk facing yet another balcony, complete the room. 

Another section of the couple’s home is dedicated to Shikhar’s trophies. Boasting numerous awards, each with its separate shelf and spotlight, the display space sits next to a large portrait of Dhawan. Under this, you'll spot a selection of equipment, including bats, wickets, a helmet and a pair of gloves, all neatly arranged on a blue platform, likely an ode to the mascot colour of the Indian Cricket Team. 

With its soothing palette, open plan and pops of vibrant colours, Dhawan’s sprawling home creates a cosy vibe, yet manages to seem open and airy.
