Apple taken to court for banning Coronavirus Reporter app from store

Thursday 21 January 2021 | 15:06 CET | News

The app, developed by different medical specialists and experts was finished on 3 March 2020. Around that time, Apple began banning such apps from the App Store if they were not from "recognized institutions such as governments, hospitals, insurers, NGOs or universities." The request to place the app in the App Store was therefore rejected.
