Maharashtra gram panchayat election results: AAP wins 96 seats, 41 in Yavatmal

MUMBAI: The Aam Aadmi Party secured 96 seats in the gram panchayat elections in Maharashtra, opening its electoral account in the state.
It secured 41 seats in Yavatmal district, its highest score.
AAP had contested 300 seats across 13 districts.
It won seats in gram panchayats in Latur, Nagpur, Solapur, Nashik, Gondia, Chandrapur, Palghar, Hingoli, Ahmednagar, Jalna, Yavatmal and Parbhani districts.
It won 13 seats in alliance with local apolitical panels. AAP will be contesting the 2022 BMC polls.
