AMGSU revives its CCpur and Kangpokpi units

Kangpokpi, January 19 2021: The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) revived its Churachandpur and Santolabari Parsain Gopibung Tokpa (SPGT) units yesterday.

The revival ceremony of AMGSU Churachandpur unit was attended by LB Adhikari, president AMGSU and seven other officials of the central committee.

Office bearers of the unit were also selected at the programme including Saroj Rijal as president, Mitralal Khatiwada as vice president, Dilip Bista as general secretary and Tiken Dhungana as treasurer amongst others.

AMGSU extended gratitude to the family of Kesar Khatiwada of Tuibung for providing lunch and their hospitality.

The student union also met with other student bodies of the district including Paite Students' Welfare Association (SSPP) and KSO Churachandpur and exchanged traditional gifts.

They also agreed to work towards peace and harmony amongst the student bodies and also assured support for each other in future.

The SPGT unit, Kangpokpi revival programme was held at Saraswati UJB School, Prasain which was attended by Deepak Bastola, vice president of AMGSU, Rajen Dhakal and six other officials of the central committee.

The meeting also resolved to change the name of the unit from Santolabari Parsain Gopibung Tokpa (SPGT) to Santolabari-Parsain (SP) unit.

Office bearers of the unit were also selected at the programme including Meghnath Poudel as president; Prakash Subedi as vice president; Anil Limbu as general secretary and Preety Uprety as treasurer amongst others.
