Imphal, January 19 2021: A preparatory camp jointly organised by Kakching Wushu Academy (KWA) and Kakching Khunai Chaokhathanba Lup (KKCL) at Kakching Central Primary School since January 15 came to an end today.

The camp was organised to help local players prepare for the upcoming National Thai Boxing Championship to be held in Telangana from January 29 to February 28 and Icestock Sport Championship slated to be held in Kashmir.

In all, 6 Thai Boxing players and 4 icestock players attended the camp.

Social worker and retired Executive Engineer, Yengkhom Nilachandra also extended monetary assistance in organising the camp and to the players as an encouragement.

Extending best wishes to the players, Yengkhom Nilachandra said that players should be encouraged and supported at the level best as Manipur is known to the world for games and sports.

The State has produced many eminent players for decades while many have failed to make their mark due to lack of monetary support and encouragement, he said while urging all to extend support in any form to help groom more sporting talents.
