HYDERABAD: Congress on Tuesday said voters of Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency, two graduate MLC seats and seven urban local bodies will teach a befitting lesson to the TRS and BJP governments in the state and the Centre for refusing to buy the agriculture produce and offer MSP to the farmers.
“While the TRS government is running away from its responsibility of procuring agricultural produce, the Centre is not offering MSP to farmers,” said Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.
The Rs 7,500 crore losses the state government says it incurred due to procurement of farm produce is small when compared to Rs 10 lakh crore cumulative state budget in the last seven years, Uttam said.
