They were both just sworn in on the West Side of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday (January 20) at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C. They both took oaths to uphold the highest office in the United States.
By their sides were their respective spouses, Dr. Jill Biden and Douglas Emhoff.
The Vice President is making history today as the first female, first African American and first Asian America Vice President in United States history.
