Panaji: Revenue Minister Jennifer Monserrate assured the North Goa and South Goa Communidades that no amendment to the Code of Goa Communidades will be carried out by the government without taking their views and suggestions into consideration.
The North and South Comunidades on Wednesday submitted a representation to the Revenue Minister raising their concerns with respect to the proposed amendments in the Comunidade Act.
“I have assured them, that we will convene a meeting post Assembly to discuss their concerns and no amendments will be carried out without taking their views and suggestions into consideration,” she said.
The minister added that the decisions will be taken in the best interest of the communidades and the people.
Revenue minister Jennifer Monserrate in a post on social media confirmed that she received a representation from the communidade body from North and South Goa with regard to the proposed amendment to the Communidade act.
