Punjab: 45-yr-old man booked for attempt to unnatural offence with 9-year-old boy in Khanna

LUDHIANA: In yet another case of crime against minor, Khanna police on Tuesday evening arrested middle aged persons for attempt to do unnatural offence with a nine-year-old boy living in the area.
The accused is 45-years-old and works at a milk factory in Mandi Gobindgarh area but lives at Khanna.
The father of nine-year-old victim told cops that on Monday at around 12 pm, his son had gone to the shop of brother-in-law of the accused to buy an eatable. He added that at that time the accused was present at the shop and his brother-in-law was not there and no customer was there as well.
The complainant told police officials that the accused then sat his son on his lap. He added that disturbed with the act of the accused, his son raised an alarm after which he felt scared, left him and ran away from the spot.
Victim’s father said that after his son returned home, he narrated about the incident after which they informed the police.
On being informed, cops from Khanna city two police station reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
Police later booked the accused under sections 377 (Unnatural offences), 511 (attempt to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of IPC and section of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences act.
