Handicraft fair begins

Imphal, January 18 2021: A 10-day handicrafts fair being organised by Manipur Handloorn & Handicraft Development Corporation (MHHDCL) under the sponsorship of Development Commission for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textile began today at Urban Haat, Nilakuthi.

The inaugural programme was attended by Director, Handloorn & Textiles, K Lamlee Kamei; General Manager (Administration), MHHDCL, E Jeeten; Assistant Director, Weavers Service Centre Porompat, M Ibohal; Assistant Director, Handicrafts Service Centre Porompat, Jagyashori Devi and Officer in Charge of NHDC, Y Shantikumar as presidium members.

At the event, E Jeeten said that the exhibition is being organised as a part of Integrated Development & Promotion of Handicrafts under North Eastern Region Textiles Promotion Scheme of the Ministry of Textiles.

Over 30 stalls are opened at the exhibition.
