It's no secret the Redmi plans on launching new K40 phone later this month. The phone has been teased already by the company's General Manager, Lu Weibing, who has again shared some crucial information about the upcoming Redmi K40 device.

Ahead of the launch of the Redmi K40, Lu Weibing has revealed battery details of the flagship from the series. Taking to Weibo, Weibing shared a screenshot of the battery performance of the Redmi K40, where he shows off his device to be left with 64 per cent of the battery even after 10.5 hours of use.

However, what's even more interesting is the fact that the screenshot also shows a forecast of how long the battery can last, with the MIUI system predicting that the phone will last for 25 hours with the remaining 64 per cent. In total, this should mean that the Redmi K40 can go on for 35.5 hours of continuous use.

While Weibing teased the impressive battery life of the Redmi K40, he did not reveal the conditions under which it was achieved. In revealing the 10 hours of use for the battery, he did not reveal if it was 10 hours of moderate use or intense use. But the screenshot does reveal that the phone was running at a resolution of 2400x1080.

Earlier, the company had revealed that the phone will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood. This will be the second phone from Xiaomi to be launched with the chipset as the company had earlier launched the Mi 11 as its first Snapdragon 888 SoC device at the end of December 2020.

While the Mi 11 was launched as a premium offering, the Redmi K40 will be launched at an affordable price point. The launch of the phone was confirmed for February with the company also confirming some information about the upcoming smartphone. The information was again shared by Redmi's General Manager, Lu Weibing, who has previously also confirmed the starting price of the Snapdragon 888-powered Redmi K40. He confirmed that the device will start retail for CNY 2,999 making it an extremely affordable phone for the specs it will pack.

In the past, leaks have claimed that the Redmi K40 will bring with itself a selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole at its upper-left corner. Previous leaks have also claimed that the K40 will flaunt an OLED panel with a slim punch-hole which could be 3.7mm in size. The battery backing the phone could reportedly be a 45000mAh pack.
