SHIMLA: Against the target of 5,061 persons, Covid-19 vaccine was administered to 3,299, taking the coverage to 65.2% on Day 2 of the drive. In the state, minor adverse event following immunization (AEFI) was reported among 17 persons, but they recovered after management as per protocol.
In the state, AEFI was reported among six persons in Kangra and Solan each, four in Una and one in Mandi district. According to officials of health department, the AEFI symptoms were dizziness, anxiety, nausea and shivering, and the beneficiaries recovered soon.
All those administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine are under the supervision of health officials. So far, total 4,836 persons have been vaccinated in the state.
