KCP cadre arrested

Imphal, January 18 2021: As a part of the preventive measures taken up for the upcoming Republic Day Celebration 2021, teams of CDO/IE Unit conducted a random cordon and search operation at different places of Imphal East district, yesterday.

During the operation, the police team arrested one member of the outfit KCP (Noyon) group, identified as Naorem Joykumar Singh (64) S/o Late N Mani Singh of Sagolband Moirang Leirak, Imphal West district from Kongba Bazar near Shyam Pukhri and seized one mobile phone from his possession.

It may be mentioned that Naorem Joykumar Singh joined the said outfit in 1997 through the said individual - Noyon @ Laba, S/S chairman of KCP (Noyon) group and was working under the command of one S/S deputy finance secretary Bobby of KCP (Noyon).

Naorem Joykumar Singh was allegedly involved in the lobbing hand grenades at two different residences located at Porompat area on December 8 and December 10, 2020 .

Later, the arrested person along with the seized mobile phone was handed over to Irilbung PS for further legal actions.
