NAWANSHAHR: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday warned officers "against committing wrong doings in registering voters and making wards”. He said that they would be made accountable once the SAD government came into power.
"We will form a Judicial Commission once we assume power and ask it to submit a report on all false cases registered by officers within three months. Prompt action will be taken against such officers”, he said while speaking to journalists at Nawanshahr on Tuesday. He held meetings with local party leaders and workers in Phagwara, Banga and Nawanshahr in connection with municipal elections. He said that around half dozen MLAs of Congress were crossing all limits in showing their “hunger” and were unabashedly doing everything wrong.
He also said that ‘Kisan Shakti’ had the power to wipe out BJP. "SAD would utilise the forthcoming parliamentary session to hold meetings with like- minded parties to work towards restoration of the federal structure in the country," Badal said.
He held that the centre was not sincere towards the farmers and asserted that the three member committee formed by the apex court would not be able play any constructive role in resolving the crisis following the central government’s refusal to repeal the three Agricultural laws.
