'They were all out for 36, we got 44': Sanjay Jha asks Cong to seek inspiration from India's performance in Australia

NEW DELHI: Former Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha on Tuesday drew parallels between Indian cricket team's comeback in Australia and the state of the Grand Old Party in the national politics.
In a tweet, Jha suggested that the Congress party — which could manage to win only 44 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls — should take inspiration from the Indian cricket team which won the Test series in Australia after a dismal performance in the first match.
"They were bowled out for 36 in the first Test. The comeback is made of fairy-tale stuff. For my good ole Grand Old Party, there is an inspirational message here. We got 44," Jha tweeted.

He urged his ex-party colleagues to seek inspiration from India's victory on the cricket field today and revamp its fortunes.
"Get up, shake off the dust and dirt, and fight. And stop moping and crying about the past," he added.
Earlier today, a spirited performance by a relatively inexperienced Indian cricket team helped defeat Australia in Gabba to clinch the Border-Gavaskar series.
In the inaugural Test match, the Men in Blue were dismissed for a record low score of 36 runs. Undeterred by the setback, the young guns staged a historic comeback to clinch the series 2-1.
Jha was the national spokesperson of the Congress party. He was expelled last year after expressing displeasure over the working of the Congress party.
