From Malaika Arora to Ranveer Singh, B-Town celebs congratulate Team India after historic win over Australia at Gabba

India cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood brigade led the way as Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages for Team India after they beat Australia by 3 wickets at The Gabba to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1. Rishabh Pant turned out to be the saviour of the day with his 89-run knock. Virat Kohli, who is presently on paternity leave, couldn't be prouder of his boys and he tweeted, 'WHAT A WIN!!! Yessssss. To everyone who doubted us after Adelaide, stand up and take notice. Exemplary performance but the grit and determination was the standout for us the whole way. Well done to all the boys and the management.', actor Ranveer Singh posted an Instagram story which showed him celebrating the win in front of a TV accompanied with the caption, 'You can't see my expression but I'm delirious!!!!! What a historic achievement.' Riteish Deshmukh shared how proud he was of Team India. He wrote, 'India Zindabad .....proud of you Team India - this is a huge huge win. Congratulations Captain @ajinkyarahane88.' Film producer Atul Kasbekar , too, joined in on the celebration online and called the feat 'historic'. Farhan Akhtar also shared his excitement and wrote, 'OUTSTANDING..!!! GO TEAM INDIA. Flag of India Champions down under.' Malaika Arora shared a photo of the match as seen on her TV and called the win 'historic.' She wrote, 'Historic....after 32 yrs India.' Actor Praksh Raj tweeted, '#INDvsAUS .. what a game. You made us proud #TeamIndia' For the unversed, as Malaika pointed out, this is the first time that the Australian team has been beaten in 32 years. Australia's last defeat at Gabba came at the hands of the West Indies in 1988.
