Training / capacity building programme conducted

Kakching, January 18 2021: A one day training cum capacity building programme on Fire Fighting Method organised by Tengnoupal Forest Division was conducted today at M Tuinom Village Community Hall in Tengnoupal district.

The programme was conducted for frontline staff, NGOs and village communities under Forest Fire Prevention and Management Scheme 2020-21 .

Dr Leishangthem Jeeceelee, Deputy Conservator of Forest of Tengnoupal Forest Division presided the function and L Nabachandra Joint Director of Manipur Fire Service, Ayub Khan Deputy Controller of Relief and Disaster Management/CD, Reema Chesaba Master Trainer of Relief and Disaster Management spoke as the resource persons during the programme.

At the end of the programme, L Nabachandra carried out a demonstrative session on how to extinguish fire caused by LPG cylinders and petrol.

Today's programme was also attended by many villagers of Tengnoupal district along with the staff of Tengnoupal Forest Division.
