Apex Legends upcoming season, Mayhem, will introduce a new Legend called Fuse. Respawn has dropped a new Stories from the Outlands video to offer a glimpse at Fuse’s backstory.
The new short tells the story of Fuse’s relationship with explosives. As a child, he finds a grenade with his best friend, which belonged to freedom fighters on their home planet, Salvo. Eventually, Salvo joins the Syndicate planets, which didn’t please Fuse’s friend. Right after that, Fuse tells her that he’s leaving Salvo to join the Apex Games, which doesn’t go well with her either. She pulls the pin of the grenade they found in their childhood and the explosion takes Fuse’s arm off.
As reported by Polygon, data miners have uncovered Fuse’s abilities. His tactical ability, Airburst Grenade, gets him a grenade launcher on his mechanical right arm and his ultimate ability, the Motherlode, allows him to use a cannon on his back to shoot a missile. Apex Legends season 8, Mayhem, kicks off on February 2.
