AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat government has allotted a total of Rs. 15 crore to accelerate developmental works in 4 towns of the state under the Swarnim Jyanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana(SJMMSVY).
In this context, chief minister Vijay Rupani has allotted Rs. 5 crore to Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation under Sadak Yojana for Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for the year 2020-2021. Out of this amount Rs. 1 crore will be allotted for strengthening Koba-Indira bridge road to Bhat village. A total of Rs. 4 crore have been sanctioned for constructions of road in 13 areas of AUDA which are covered under Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
Rupani has allocated an amount of Rs. 5 crore 44 lakh to Mehsana Municipality under Swarnim Jyanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for 94 works for C.C.Roads, Paver block as well drinking water pipelines in private societies under public participation component.
Apart from this, the chief minister has also allotted Rs. 3 crores 46 lakh under Swarnim Jyanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana to Vadnagar Municipality in north Gujarat. This amount would be used to supply water on daily basis to the people of outskirts areas, Darbargarh area and other areas of Vadnagar 3-4 km away from Vadnagar city and to replace the PVC lines connecting the outskirts areas with D1 line to prevent water wastage and leakage.
The CM has also allotted Rs. 1 crore 11 lakh to Dholka Municipality of Ahmedabad District under Swarnim Jyanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for 10 works like CC Road, Drinking Water Line as well as Storm Water Drain, Water Line in the private society with public participation component. Around 650 families of Dholka will be benefited with this development work.
The CM has allocated a total of Rs. 15,783.73 crore in last four years from 2016-17 to December-2020 under the Swarnim Jyanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana to equip all the cities and towns of Gujarat with vital as well as modern facilities with infrastructural facilities.
