TN CM, Stalin, political leaders hail India's historic series win against Australia

Chennai, Jan 19 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi
K Palaniswami, opposition DMK President M K Stalin and
political leaders hailed India's historic 2-1 series win against
Australia at Brisbane today.
On the final day of the fourth and last test, India breached
the Gabba fortress--where Australia remained undefeated for
the last three decades--with a sensational three wicket win
to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
In a tweet, Mr Palaniswami congratulated the Indian team
for its historic series win despite the absence of several
star players.
''The key role played by three players from Tamil Nadu in
the series win is even more happier'', he added.
Mr Stalin, in a tweet said ''congratulations to Team India
for their fantastic Test Series victory in Australia.''
''The final match exemplified the importance of team work
with every player contributing to this historic win'', he said.
''Delighted to see the brilliant performance of our young
players! #INDvsAUS'', Mr Stalin said.
Former Union Minister and PMK leader Dr Anbumani
Ramadoss also hailed the victory and said the Nation
was proud of this young, brave and resilient team's
extraordinary performance.
In a tweet, he said ''congratulations to the Team India for
the historic win in Australia winning the Border-Gavaskar
series.''
''The nation is proud of this young, brave & resilient Indian
Cricket Team's extraordinary performance and I wish them
same success in future. #INDvsAUS '', he said.
