When it comes to gaming on a PC, the genre that reigns supreme is the RPG. Throughout the decades, the PC has been home to some of the best RPGs of all time, games that were only possible on the keyboard-and-mouse platform. Nowadays, cconsole owners have access to great RPGs as well, but PC gamers can still celebrate the beloved genre with a new sale at GOG on DRM-free games. The sale discounts some of the best RPGs of all time, including series like The Witcher, and ends on January 25.
Of course, it's not a GOG sale without discounts on The Witcher franchise--GOG and developer CD Projekt Red are owned by the same parent company. The Witcher 3: Game of the Year edition is only $15. That gets you the complete base game as well as all of the DLC, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions. And if you want to play more from the series, The Witcher is $1.49, The Witcher 2 is $3, and Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is $10.
One of the best RPGs of recent years, Disco Elysium, is also on sale for just $26. It puts you in the shoes of a down-on-his-luck detective who isn't quite sure what happened last night. You must work together with your newly assigned partner, Kim Kitsuragi, and solve the case of a mysterious murder. It has some of the best writing in an RPG and received a rare 10/10 in our Disco Elysium review.
Other great RPGs on sale include the Shadowrun Trilogy, both Divinity: Original Sin games, and the Pillars of Eternity series. There are also a number of more action-oriented RPGs, such as Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Be sure to check out all of the discounts at GOG and the best deals we've selected above.
