Head coach Gavin Hunt has encouraged his Kaizer Chiefs side to keep grinding out results after recording their third consecutive win with a comfortable 3-0 victory against TTM at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

Youngster Nkosingiphile Ngcobo scored a stunner before goals by substitutes Lebogang Manyama and Happy Mashiane sealed the three points for Hunt's side.

With the win, Chiefs move into seventh position in the league standings and reduced the gap to leaders Mamelodi Sundowns from 17 points to 10 in just three rounds of fixtures.

Despite finding some form Hunt maintained that his side were still a work in progress with much to improve on.

"It was a bit of a leggy performance you know," Hunt told SuperSport TV post-match. "We looked a bit lethargic at times but it's understandable with the program that we've had.

"The most important thing was to get three points and to try and get ourselves up the table.

"But all in all we're happy after the busy week that we've had and we have another game obviously on Saturday.

Hunt added that his side still needed time to work together to completely integrate his idea on the squad.

"With our position that we were in we've just got to keep grinding away because it is a tough league so well done to everybody and we keep moving."

Chiefs next travel to Cape Town to face Stellenbosch FC in a league clash on Saturday and will be aiming to move further up the league standings.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
