Awareness program on "Jal Shakti Abhiyan Youth Participation" held

Thoubal, January 18 2021: As a part of the "Skill Development Day"of National Youth Week 2021, Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal organised an awareness program on "Jal Shakti Abhiyan Youth Participation" by conducting a painting competition on 'Water Conservation & Rainwater harvesting' at Khongjom Awang Leikai, today.

National Youth Week was kicked off on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12 and will conclude tomorrow, where there will be a closing function cum observation of Awareness Day of National Youth Week in collaboration with District Level Committee on Nasha Mukh Bharat at Salungpham Maning Leikai.

Y Lakshman Singh, Retd DYC & co-ordinator, DLCNMB and DSWO, Kameshwar Singh will attend the closing ceremony.

During the Skill Development Day observance, NYV Ng Boboy educated the gathering on the role of youths in Nation-building especially in light of water scarcity and the need for water conservation and rainwater harvesting.

Later, prizes were handed out to the competition winners by National Youth Volunteers of NYK THOUBAL.
