Bloemfontein Celtic were denied a shock but deserved win over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a 0-0 draw after a legitimate goal by Sera Motebang was wrongly ruled out for offside at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.
Sundowns maintained their unbeaten start to the season after the goalless draw with Bloem Celtic remaining in the bottom half of the standings in 11th place.
Siwelelele will be feeling hard done by though after a legitimate goal by striker Motebang in the 61st minute was chalked off for offside which denied the visitors all three points.
The offside call marred the final result with the standard of officiating in the PSL again coming under the spotlight after yet another blatant mistake by the match officials.

Awful call by the linesman.
There is no way in the world this is offside. Mamelodi Sundowns were extremely lucky there.
Terrible, terrible officiating.

Officiating is in shambles when it comes to PSL, it’s frustrating listening to expect tell u that the ref got it wrong yet those sentiments can’t change the scoreline, whats the point really? We need to do lifestyle audits for referees??
