Uttarakhand education dept to felicitate professors of agri education

According to officials, the Uttarakhand higher education department is planning to felicitate professors who have done significant work in the fields of agriculture education and horticulture forestry.

The National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, puts more stress on research work in these two fields and therefore, it is important to encourage those working in these areas.

It is worth mentioning that the department honours the professors across various fields, including Commerce, Arts, and Science. TOI has also learnt that the cash prize that is given with the recognition is most likely to be raised Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
