New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) On the eve of tenth round of talks between the Centre and the agitating farmers to end the logjam over the three farm laws, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) on Monday asserted repealing of three Acts and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (EB 2020) as the only agenda to begin the meaningful dialogue.
The ninth round of talks between the Centre and the striking farmer unions on January 15 failed to resolve the deadlock over the three farm laws.
In a statement here, AIKSCC said, 'The issue for tomorrow's talks is one and only one, if they have to take off-Repeal of the 3 Acts and the EB 2020.
'If the Government wishes to make a show of talks and wants to only mark time, waiting to tire out the farmers, it is mistaken,' it added.
The AIKSCC urged the government to immediately withdraw the NIA notices issued to some leaders in order to create a better atmosphere for talks, the statement said.
The farmers' protest over the three farm laws entered the 54th day on Monday, as the protesters continued their stir at various entry points of the National Capital region.
The Working Group of AIKSCC has expressed satisfaction at the extent and participation of Women Farmers, who led Monday's Women Farmer Protest Programmes across the length and breadth of the country.
The AIKSCC said Mahila Kisan Diwas was observed in more than 300 districts of the country.
Meanwhile, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday said the Government has boldly enacted new agricultural reform laws.
Mr Tomar said the reforms will prove very helpful for the farmers and they will raise their standard of living.
It was stated by the Union Agriculture Minister at a national conference on agricultural reforms.
On Sunday, Mr Tomar had urged the striking farmers unions to give up their 'stubborn' stand on the new farm Acts and come for a clause by clause discussion for the tenth round of talks on January 19.
