The Chennai police are looking for four people accused of robbing and attacking a TASMAC supervisor and his friend near Mathuranthakam on Sunday.

Suresh Kumar, a 46-year-old man bar supervisor in Palur, Mathuranthakam of Chengalpattu district had called his friend Shankar (30) to assist him at TASMAC since he anticipated heavy footfall during the weekend. After business hours, the men were travelling back home in Irumbedu village, carrying the day's collection which was about Rs 7,80,000.
They were intercepted by four people near Ammanur, who then allegedly attacked Suresh and Shankar with machete, brutally injuring them. It was also reported that the gang fled after robbing the collection bag.
Both Suresh and Shankar were later admitted to the Chengalpattu Government Hospital by passersby. Later, a case was registered with the Seiyur police and they are currently tracking the robbers using the CCTV footages and mobile signals of that area.
