The gaming division of ASUS, dubbed “ROG,” is a dominant player in the gaming laptop market. With their popular Zephyrus, SCAR STRIX and G series laptops, ROG caters to gamers at every price point.
To maintain their market lead, at CES 2021, ROG launched several new generations of laptops in their on-going series. ROG also introduced new proprietary hardware to help take the laptop-gaming market to the next level.
Here’s everything cool ROG announced at this year’s CES.
All ROG Gaming Laptops At 2021: Mighty Competitive!
ROG kicked off the showcase with an important announcement that all of their upcoming gaming laptops will feature AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs powered by ZEN 3 cores and Nvidia RTX 3000 series mobile GPUs.
The new range of RTX series GPUs are faster and quieter than previous generations. Furthermore, ROG claims a noticeable reduction in overall fan noise.
ROG laptops will come with the patented liquid metal thermal compound formula which they first introduced. To improve cooling and cleaning, ROG laptops now come with an improved fan design featuring a spatial wave around the outer edge which seamlessly pushes dust particles into a dust collector.
All ROG laptops also come with a built-in USB Type-X adapter with up to 100 watt charging capabilities.
Lastly, ROG laptops come with two-way AI noise cancellation technology, meaning the mic will filter the nearby noise whenever you speak and it works downstream as well. Meaning, the sound coming from the other end will also be filtered for any noise.
ROG Scar Strix 17
The Scar Strix 17 was the first laptop ROG introduced and it has some really crazy specs. First off is the display panel, the ROG Scar Strix 17 employs an FHD 360 Hz panel with ultra-fast 3 ms response time.
